ITV hosts ‘TALKS TALES’ in search for new Storyliners
Have you always told a good tale, yapped a great yarn, shaped a great saga? Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a Storyliner for television? Well this is your chance to find out…..
ITV storyliners contribute ideas at story conference and devise engaging, compelling, detailed episodic storylines to an agreed vision. They are the ‘engine rooms’ of the biggest continuing dramas in the country and ITV is running a one-off workshop to give MediaCityUK neighbours the chance to find out what it’s all about and whether storylining is their dream TV job!
Hosted by Head of Editorial Engagement, Mark Bickerton, this full day session is open to anybody with or without previous writing talent – all you have to have is a MediaCityUK company address, a taste for telling tales and a personality to pitch in on the day. You will be required to do some television viewing beforehand to be up to speed with Emmerdale or Coronation Street’s current storylines.
ITV TALKS TALES will be held at Orange Tower on 30th May, 1030-1600. Places are limited and attendees will be selected at random.
To apply please email aj.read@itv.com with ‘ITV TALKS TALES’ in the subject line and your name, company address and email/telephone contact number by the close of Friday 12th May.
Successful applicants will be notified by email on Tuesday 16th May and given further detail about the session.
