MediaCityUK based homebuilder Northstone, has launched ‘The Huddle’ and two show homes at its first Scandinavian influenced development, Silkash, in Westhoughton, Bolton.
The new highly energy-efficient homes include features that could help residents to reduce energy use by up to 15%. Features such as systems to recycle heat from warm wastewater, using less gas to heat the home, and smart-household technology to allow residents to automate heating and electricity, will make homes cheaper to run. Estimated annual running costs for gas and electricity are between £150 and £300, dependent on house type and use.
In addition, Northstone’s homes already go beyond the current building regulation requirements for energy performance by making homes more airtight with thicker walls, bigger cavities for insulation and carefully positioned windows.
Welcoming people into The Huddle and to discuss Northstone’s ‘Building a more neighbourly world’ ethos, are sales team, Senior Sales Manager, Anita Jolley and Sales Advisor, Graeme Woods.
Northstone’s Senior Sales Manager, Anita Jolley, said: “It has been fantastic to see the progress on site since we started in March 2020, and we’re thrilled to have our ‘Huddle’ completed and ready to invite potential customers to view our homes.”
Anita adds: “Our homes appeal to families, young couples and downsizers, offering carefully designed houses with a Scandinavian influence to help meet the needs of today’s families and generations to come.”
When complete towards the end of 2021, Silkash will provide 150 new family homes to meet local housing demand with a mix of two, three and four bedrooms, suitable for first-time buyers (with Help to Buy), families and downsizers. The development will also create 160 jobs and apprenticeship opportunities to support skills and the local economy.
