The ‘Coronation Street Experience’ has been open to the public on weekends since 2014 with up to 1000 people a day visiting from all over the world to wander on the infamous cobbles, and since the start there have been plenty of requests from visitors to bring their furry best friends to Weatherfield – alas the only paws patrolling the street have been the likes of Schmeichel, Cerberus and more recently Peanut, Freddie, and of course the iconic David the Dog (who joined in a very special photoshoot to illustrate what walkies in Weatherfield is like!).
So, to help celebrate National Pet Day, ITV Studios has just announced ‘Canineration Street’, an exclusive chance to be amongst the first ever visitors to bring their pooches to Britain’s most famous street.
Sunday April 12th, the day after National Pet Day, is the date for guests to spend 90 minutes soaking up the history of Britain’s favourite street, whilst their pooches pose outside the pub, play Rover outside Roys Rolls, bark outside the Bistro, catwalk (oops?) along the cobbles, and perhaps pick up a puppicino to devour outside Devs.
Special ‘Weatherfield Woof’ limited edition merchandise will be available in the Experience shop including dog bowls, branded treats, dog bandanas plus locally produced coffees and puppuccinos.
All proceeds from every dog ticket will be donated to Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity.
So, if you want your Woof to be in Weatherfield this April head to:

Be sure to book early to avoid disappawntment!
