ALISON LOMAX

As Managing Director, YouTube UK & Ireland, Alison Lomax is responsible for working with Government & Policy Makers and partnering with broadcasters, producers, creators, brands and the music industry to provide British content and talent a platform to thrive.

GUS CASELY-HAYFORD

Gus Casely-Hayford is a prominent British curator, historian, and cultural critic with a focus on African art and culture. He has held several prestigious positions throughout his career, including Director of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C. and the first director of V&A East in London.

RISHI COUPLAND

Rishi Coupland is a UK-based strategist and leader with over twenty years’ experience in delivering research, innovation and strategic programmes. He is Director of Research and Industry Innovation at at the British Film Institute, where he leads the Research and Statistics Unit, and Director of Insight at the CoSTAR Foresight Lab.

Prior to this, he held the roles of Head of Data Intelligence at the National Theatre, where he launched and led the sector flagship Data Studio, and Senior Producer (Buzz-erk Productions). Rishi began his career as an engineer with multinational companies in locations across the UK and Europe. In 2017 Rishi was awarded a Clore Fellowship for Leadership in Arts and Culture.

RUTH MACKENZIE

Ruth is Director of Arts at the British Council. She has recently joined the British Council from her previous role as Program Director, Arts Culture & Creative Industries Policy for the Government of South Australia.

Ruth began her career in various theatre positions and at Arts Council England before taking on senior roles including Head of Strategic Planning at South Bank Centre, Executive Director of Nottingham Playhouse and Director of Scottish Opera.

She has also served as Special and Expert Adviser for DCMS, Co-Artistic Director at Chichester Festival Theatre and General Director of Manchester International Festival. Ruth gained national recognition as the Director of the London 2012 Festival, the Cultural Olympiad linked to the Olympic & Paralympic Games. In acknowledgment of her contribution to the Games, her appointed OBE from 1995 was elevated to CBE.
