Much-loved independent retailer, General Store is to provide a more permanent home for local burger brand What’s Your Beef, who will be moving into the group’s MediaCityUK store on Friday 3rd September.
To celebrate, General Store MediaCity and What’s Your Beef are throwing a burger bash, alongside their friends at Manchester Union Lager, and everyone’s invited!
From 3pm – 7pm What’s Your Beef will be giving away 100 free burgers – including their incredible “Stateside Deluxe” as well as their “Got No Beef” vegan burger.
There will be music from a DJ and FREE beer from Manchester Union Lager too. Burger fans should head over to General Store MediaCity to join in the celebrations – because when the free burgers and beers are gone – they’re gone!
What’s Your Beef joined General Store MediaCity when they opened in May, and the two local independent brands have been working together to bring brilliant burgers to Salford Quays ever since.

Born out of an idea by two pals from Rochdale, What’s Your Beef ethically sources their beef from a local award-winning butcher and pride themselves on making the best burgers in the land.
General Stores MediaCity is a shopping experience that champions local makers and creators. They stock big brand convenience products right through to artisan local producers, alongside a coffee shop on site, plus an alcohol emporium with tasting area, local fresh baked goods and zero-waste, household essential refill stations.
The What’s Your Beef residency is just one of a number of collaborations in store – from artisan bakeries to small batch gins, General Stores is dedicated to championing exciting and innovative, independent food and drink.
General Store MediaCityUK is located in the ground floor of the recently completed Lightbox development just a stone’s throw from the cobbles of Corrie. The 3500 sq ft store is the latest evolution of the innovative General Store brand, representing all the most exciting elements that the team has developed so far.
