Global conference celebrating creative innovation returns to MediaCity
BEYOND 2025 – the world’s leading conference for research and innovation in the creative industries is once again returning to MediaCity this Autumn from 24-26 November following its successful debut in Salford last year.
The conference brings together thinkers, makers, researchers, creatives, startups, students, investors, and policymakers from across the globe right into the heart of the City.
In a world where creativity drives innovation, this year’s conference is exploring the intersection of imagination, technology, and place. From the rise of the Creator Economy to the evolution of Innovation Districts and cutting-edge CreaTech – a new, emerging ecosystem where creators, technologists, and communities co-design the future is gaining pace.
BEYOND 2025 will kick off on ‘Day 0’ with a celebratory showcase of Salford’s creators and innovators who are breaking boundaries in storytelling, technology and design. The Creative Mixer – a fusion of creativity, innovation and exploration is set to be hosted in The Hot House, by broadcaster Nihal Arthanayake, where attendees can expect to be inspired by a mix of performances, showcases and installations from homegrown, breakthrough artists.
A new, exciting commission will also be revealed from the recently launched Createch Artist Colab programme delivered in partnership with Salford Culture and Place Partnership, University of Salford and Better Connected – GM Arts.
Caroline Aikman, Director of Marketing & Place said: “Salford’s significance on the global stage is really gaining momentum through the incredible innovators and creators who are exploring new forms and pushing boundaries on campus each day. BEYOND brings a unique opportunity to experience the creative energy of Salford up close and showcase this City’s talent to the rest of the world.”
BEYOND is being delivered in local partnership with MediaCity, Salford City Council, The University of Salford, GM Business Growth and Manchester Immersive Technologies Hub (MITIH).
