- New this year, from dancefloor to runway – join free Northern Soul, jive dance classes and more.
- Take the spotlight in our daily vintage catwalk show at 3pm, with prizes for Best in Show.
Throwback lovers, start your engines! The UK’s leading vintage event, The Classic Car Boot Sale, is set to return to MediaCity this summer for its second spectacular northern edition. Tickets are on sale now for just £5, with under 12s going free.
Taking place on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July at the MediaCity gardens, The Classic Car Boot Sale is back following the tremendous success of last year’s debut event in the North with an even bigger line-up, bringing together the best vintage vehicles and traders. The hundreds of visitors can enjoy the new ‘Best in Show’ Catwalk and dance classes to get moving.
The event offers a unique opportunity to shop from some of the country’s best sustainable fashion and vintage homewares collectors, all trading from classic vehicles in the heart of MediaCity.
Strike a pose, learn the steps – this year’s event brings fashion and rhythm centre stage. For the first time, the ‘Best in Show’ Catwalk takes place at 3pm each day. Hosted by Classic Car Boot Sale co-founder Wayne Hemingway, it’s a chance for standout dressers to share the story behind their look and take the spotlight—plus win prizes for top style.
New for this year, free dance classes bring extra beat to the Classic Car Boot Sale. Alongside a top-tier local DJ lineup, visitors can join beginner-friendly lessons in Swing, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Jive, Northern Soul, and more.
Martin the Mod kicks things off Saturday with a smooth mix of Mod, Reggae, and Ska, followed by a Swing class from Lindy and a DJ set by Windy Wardlaw. Across the weekend, expect high-energy sets from acts like oFf thE beAten TrAx, Northern Soul, Andy Shake’n’Fingerpop, Jamie Groovement & DJ Ana May, Dr Sid, and many more. From 60s classics to 90s indie, plus Disco, Electronic, Balearic, and beyond—this is a true all-eras music experience.
With Oasis hitting the stage in the city, it’s time to channel your inner Gallagher and get your football casual swagger on — think bucket hats, retro tracksuits, and vintage footie vibes. Football fans can dive into a treasure trove of nostalgia with Retro Vintage Football Club, offering everything from classic pre-loved shirts, scarves, figures, and matchday programmes to rare memorabilia that’ll make any collector’s heart race. And don’t worry, the little ones are sorted too — Aah Kid will be bringing a colourful collection of upcycled and vintage children’s clothing, spanning iconic styles from the 1950s to the Y2K era, proving that cool, conscious fashion starts young.
Returning favourites include Eyewood Vintage, last year’s ‘Best in Show’ winner, known for supplying costumes to top Netflix productions. They’ll showcase curated pieces from the Victorian era to Y2K fashion. Also back is 2024 crowd-pleaser Moondream Vintage, trading from a newly restored, ultra-rare 1973 Vauxhall Victor FE Estate—sure to be a showstopper. The unique clothing line-up features bold, colourful pieces from Happy Sunday Vintage, western-inspired styles from Ironchild Vintage, and edgy biker looks from Quiet Riot Vintage.
Style seekers can shop pre-loved fashion at Charity Super.Mkt’s pop-up, where band tees, football shirts, denim – all help raise funds for charities like Together Trust, Emmaus, the RSPCA, and the British Heart Foundation.
Photo opportunities galore with a display of over 20 iconic cars and campervans, including a 1935 American Ford, 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air, 1959 VW Splitscreen, and a rare 1974 DeTomaso Pantera. These set the scene for a weekend of unforgettable shopping, with true vintage finds and pre-loved treasures from handpicked stalls.
Foodies can enjoy a range of street food from top independent traders, such as The Little Red Food Truck which will dish up smashed burgers and fries. For something sweet, Vanoffee offers coffee, matcha, and their signature Doughnoffees—served in a doughnut—plus baked treats from a converted ice cream van. Artisan ice cream lovers can visit The Exclusive Scoop’s vintage tricycle for ethically sourced scoops.
The Classic Car Boot Sale is more than just a shopping event – it’s a celebration of nostalgia, culture, music, and fashion. Each edition brings together vintage lovers, collectors, car enthusiasts, and families for an inclusive, immersive experience that welcomes all ages and even four-legged friends.
Speaking ahead of the event, Wayne Hemingway MBE, founder of HemingwayDesign and co-founder of The Classic Car Boot Sale, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing The Classic Car Boot Sale back to MediaCity after such an incredible response last year. This event is about so much more than just shopping—it’s a joyful celebration of creativity, sustainability, style and community. Whether you’re here for the fashion, the music, the food, or the stunning vehicles, it’s all about having fun and connecting with like-minded people. The atmosphere is electric, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for an even bigger and better weekend.”
